Black Walnut Leaf

Black Walnut Leaf is used externally as an astringent for treating acne, eczema, herpes and ulcers. The compound juglone has been shown to be a laxative, fight worms, and have strong activity against bacteria. The tannin (astringent) in the leaf is also used to help control diarrhea and the excessive loss of blood during menstrual periods.
