Odor Originating from Sjoegren Syndrome

Sjoegren syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva become infiltrated with white blood cells (lymphocytes). This causes the glands to produce less moisture, leading to dryness. The saliva has the function to protect the oral cavity from developing infection -- which can lead to bad breath.
